May 2014 Buttonhole Stitch

buttonhole-02-web-editThe background fabric is silk fusion. The shiny Brazilian threads used in several areas give the sample a brightness that does not show up in the image.

Going from bottom to top:

The green stitches along the outside edge are up and down buttonhole. Next row up is Feather stitch. Above that is crossed buttonhole: above that is single feather stitch, also known as slanted buttonhole.

On the right of the flower is detached buttonhole and then a mixture of feather and buttonhole.

Along the left edge is looped blanket stitch.
